Dear B-CC Alumni,

     As part of a community wide outreach to B-CC cluster schools, neighborhood businesses and alumni, the Sports Booster Club is proudly sponsoring the 1st Annual Battlin' Barons Golf Classic. This inaugural event is scheduled for Sunday, May 1, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Poolesville Golf Club and Potomac Valley Lodge, 16601 West Willard Road, Poolesville, Maryland. A silent auction and banquet will immediately follow at 6:00 p.m.

     Proceeds from the event will be used to underwrite two needs-based college scholarships to be awarded annually by the B-CC Sports Booster Club for outstanding sportsmanship. The highlight of this year's banquet will be a program honoring Brady Blade, who is retiring this spring after thirty years as Teacher and Athletic Director at B-CC.

     Brady began his career at B-CC in January 1975 as a Special Education teacher. He was promoted to Athletic Director in 1983, and under his guidance, B-CC teams have experienced great success, winning a myriad of divisional, regional and state chamionships. This event will celebrate all that Brady has contributed to the athletic program over the years.

     The cost of the golf outing is $450.00 per Foursome and will include:
          • 18-Hole, Scramble Format
          • Cart and Scorecard
          • Box Lunch
          • Tournament Favor
          • Prizes for Tournament Winners, Longest Drive, Closest to Pin
          • Par 3 Contest with B-CC Golf Team

     The cost of the banquet is $45.00 per person and it features
          • Cash Bar
          • Silent Auction
          • Dinner
          • Program and Roast of Brady Blade, emceed by Andy Pollin, WTEM sports talk show personality and B-CC Alum
